2008 Michigan Kahtoola Mountain Run
Infiterra Sports along with presenting sponsor Kahtoola and host location Pine Knob are proud to bring you the Michigan Kahtoola Mountain Run. This exciting run will have participants challenging themselves on very hilly, snow covered course. In partnering with Kahtoola, $5.00 of every entry fee will go to support the Mountain Fund. Some type of traction system is highly recommended - see below for details on how to purchase your own Kahtoola Micro Spikes at a 20% discount for this event! Time: 8:30am Start (check-in from 7:30am)
 Meeting Place: Main hall right at the base of Pine Knob Ski Area.
Distance: ~4K & 8K events
Event Cost: $25.00* per person
General Event Information:
This winter run has been organized more for fun than competition. However, make no mistake, this will be a very challenging run. Participants will be running directly on parts of Pine Knob Ski Area. You will be traveling up and down steep hills and on varied terrain with snow and ice. Some type of footwear traction system or snowshoe is HIGHLY recommended for this run. This a grassroots style race benefiting the Mountain Fund, but we also hope it can develop into a great challenge that will test racers endurance and fortitude on hills and snow. This race will run regardless of weather.
For those of you that are competitive, we will have nice prizes from Kahtoola and potentially other sponsors.
We will be offering a 4K event and 8K event. The actual race distance may vary slightly, but these are pretty close approximates. It will definitely feel all of this as there will be lots of hill climbing! Again snowshoes and/or traction systems are highly encouraged. Come out and have fun playing in the snow!

X-Small: Youth 1-4
Small: Youth 4.5-7, Women 5.5-8.5
Medium: Women 8.5+, Men 7-10.5
